Test Analyst - UAT

Responsible as the sole Test Analyst on an Agile/Scrum team to ensure that all applications and business processes under test provided and supported by Business Change and/or IT meet their functional and non-functional requirements, by finding issues as early as possible in the development and testing life cycle. Achieved by evaluating, planning, designing, developing and executing tests.

  • Perform static testing of project documents, BRD's, User Stories/Acceptance Criteria etc.
  • Provide input into daily scrum, planning, estimation and retrospective sessions
  • Provide planning input to other members of the Business Change team where required
  • Test in accordance with the Test Strategy
  • Production of test plans and test scripts to determine whether new systems or changes to systems perform according to specifications
  • Generate/maintain manual and automated regression test suites
  • Executes tests and records results, including documenting any incidents found
  • Provides support and assistance to business users in specifying and executing tests
  • Works with Developers, BAs, and other staff (including those at 3rd party suppliers) to ensure incidents are resolved
  • Performs retesting and regression testing to ensure incidents have been resolved successfully
  • Provides testing status reports covering task, test coverage and incident status - as required
  • Analyse the results of testing to determine and resolve any common causes for problems
  • Adhere to and meet fully the expectations of The company's, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls. Our policies and procedures are written to encapsulate the compliance, legal and financial crime related legislation and regulations which apply to The company's.
  • Comply with any external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at The company's, such as Lloyd's byelaws and FCA rules.
