For my client I am looking for an enthusiastic Senior Accounting Professional who enjoys working in a diverse team that is always looking for ways to improve processes and accelerate execution. You will have an important role in the further integration of the Finance department, looking for the best practices/solutions for all integration challenges that they encounter.

As a Senior Financial Accounting Professional you are responsible for the IFRS monthly and quarterly reports to the Bank and ensure that these reports are provided efficiently and in accordance with IFRS standards.
In your role you provide guidelines and guidance to financial departments with the aim of improving the process and thus the period closings. You are also actively involved in the period closings by making memos to explain the balance and P&L changes to the management. Every year, several audits are carried out by the internal and external accountant, in which you play an important role in guiding these audits.
You have an active role in maintaining the internal control environment. My client uses an internal control environment in which it is important that the key controls are maintained. It is also important that the associated work instructions (SOPs) are up to date and that the End User Designed Applications (EUDAs) are used in a controlled manner.
Within my client they are always looking for improvement and continuously learn from their experiences. Various projects are being carried out within the Finance department, such as the migration to ONEledger. You will have an active role in the evolution of processes, both by implementing small improvements and finishing bigger projects.
Your working environment:
The Financial Accounting department is part of the Accounting, Treasury & Tax team and is an English speaking team of approximately 20 colleagues. The team successfully integrated the two Finance departments after the merger. Some of the keywords that apply to the team are teamwork, challenge, self-development, and self-direction. As a team they are working hard to become a future-proof Finance department. The aim is to get one step better every day.

- Master's degree in Accounting & Control supplemented with a Post Graduate degree in Accountancy (RA, CPA or similar).
- Multi-year experience within a finance / accounting role.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards.
- Knowledge of internal control guidelines and ERP and related general ledger (preferably SAP) systems.
- Speaks English and German/French would be an advantage.
- Analytically strong, advisable and excellent communication skills.
