Brand new opportunity for an experienced risk professional to join a well-known investment client of Oliver James' in the City as part of their residential property arm. This role will involve working with the home finance funders and will help to continue the growth of their residential property portfolio.

This role will see you provide oversight of their lending and policies through developing a framework to maintain portfolio oversight which is aligned to their strategy. See further role responsibilities below:

  • You will be underwriting policies for property and credit
  • Manage debt and arrears and collection policies
  • Monitoring scorecard development
  • Assess credit performance of the portfolio

Working closely with the Head of you will work closely with and liaise with a variety of senior stakeholders up to board level as well as representing the team's views on technical matters at various committees. This role will give you the chance to voice your recommendations to the relevant governance bodies and senior leadership.

Required experience:

  • Strong background in either underwriting, credit or property risk
  • Mortgage knowledges
  • Ideally some scorecard exposure
  • Experienced monitoring various portfolios to assess lending risks
  • The ability to develop risk appetite and frameworks.
