Reinsurance Pricing Actuary

Senior level position reporting directly to the SVP, you'll be working closely with Data Scientists to build out the organization's data-driven underwriting strategy. You'll be required to apply your expertise in alaysis, pricing, and product development to augment the underwriting process currently used by their teams. Responsibilities & Qualifications

* Develop, implement and maintain pricing tools to ensure consistency in design, parameter benchmarking and rate-adequacy monitoring
* Develop and enhance approaches to analytical evaluation of a diverse set of exposures within the Casualty & Specialty Reinsurance portfolio
* Work with the Risk & Analytics team to implement pricing in Hamilton's propriety underwriting platform
* Perform calculations using proprietary models to assess a range of risk exposures and predict outcomes
* Communicate with clients and brokers on information requirements for evaluation of opportunities
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and preferably within the Casualty/Specialty Reinsurance sector
* Professional actuarial designation (at least ACAS or equivalent)
* Ability to communicate findings effectively
* Experience with programming and database skills preferred
* Strengths in collaboration, with an open and clear communication style
* Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to gain the trust of clients, brokers and colleagues
