Our client, a leading Insurance business in Dublin, is looking to bring on a newly qualified actuary to support their IFRS 17 implementation project and become an integral member of the valuation team.

As a nearly/newly qualified actuary you will join a supportive and close-knit team which is backed-up by a global group in a strong strategic position. In this position you will gain experience in reinsurance.

Role

You will become well versed in IFRS and Solvency II reporting metrics. You will support the implementation of the IFRS 17 processes and models. This position offers exciting project work in the most recent and relevant topics.

In the longer term you will gain exposure and expertise in a range of reinsurance techniques/solutions.

Experience for the position

The ideal candidate will demonstrate some of the below skills, however the business acknowledges working experience and demonstrable ability to adapt to new areas.

  • Newly/Nearly Qualified Actuary - ideally with several year's experience in life insurance or reinsurance
  • Experience of Actuarial reporting/valuations across IFRS or Solvency II would be beneficial
  • Strong worth ethic - the desire to progress your career and learn new things.
  • Excellent soft skills; strong communication and time management
