Market leading general insurer are seeking a Head of Conduct to ensure, in conjunction with the Head of Compliance, that the Conduct Risk Framework is effectively applied across the business and that the risk profile of the business is aligned with the Board's Conduct risk appetite.

Market leading general insurer are seeking a Head of Conduct to ensure, in conjunction with the Head of Compliance, that the Conduct Risk Framework is effectively applied across the business and that the risk profile of the business is aligned with the Board's Conduct risk appetite.

The remit of the role will include:

  • To act as a point of contact for conduct-related compliance queries, providing advice and support to the business on a range of conduct related issues.
  • Provide training to the business (including senior management) in relation to Conduct related requirements.
  • Provide effective support to all direct reports to enable them to meet their objectives.
  • Proactively monitor, communicate and action conduct related regulatory developments and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with the FCA and Lloyd's and respond to any queries or questions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure conduct related systems and controls are effective to support and meet regulatory requirements and expectations.
  • Be responsible for conduct related policies and procedures which are within the remit of the Compliance team.
  • Perform timely, accurate and effective analysis, monitoring and reporting of conduct MI for review by the relevant governance committees.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory reporting deadlines and provide oversight and challenge to regulatory submissions.
  • Actively develop and maintain relationships within the business to ensure conduct-related compliance processes are fully embedded.

Suitable candidates are likely to have demonstrable experience gained within the insurance sector, within the capacity of a senior compliance/conduct post. A comprehensive knowledge of the FCA Handbook, FCA published papers and Lloyd's Conduct Risk Minimum Standards and their application to a Lloyd's Managing Agent will be required, along with a collaborative communication style.
