Oliver James Associates are mandated by their global consulting client to assist in the recruitment of a Financial Services Data Analytics Director. The role will be based in London serving predominantly London-based financial services clients paying between c£120,00 - £140,000.

Oliver James Associates are mandated by their global consulting client to assist in the recruitment of a Financial Services Data Analytics Director. The role will be based in London serving predominantly London-based financial services clients paying between c£120,00 - £140,000.

The importance of data is recognised as being a critical asset to any company. Effective usage, management, manipulation, protection and insight now assist companies in reducing risk, improving resilience, gaining intelligence, control and trust in their data, comply with regulatory requirements and identify fraud / crime

Genuine leaders in this space are now unquestionably strongly desired by executive boards of firms of all sizes

To this end, Oliver James Associates are keen to open dialogues with professionals in this space

Typical, strong Director-level candidates will be able to demonstrate:-

  • Track record and ability to build relationships at CXO level
  • Ability to develop new ideas into structured, deliverable proposals
  • Track record of leading project delivery and project teams including ability to meet deadlines, overcome challenges, manage stakeholder expectations and produce project deliverables
  • Ability to identify and address stakeholder needs,
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
  • Desire to work in an exciting, yet rapidly changing environment

Desirable Skills

Demonstrable ability in the following areas:

  • Understanding and experience of the technical disciplines and technology that underpins data analytics and data assurance work (e.g. such as SQL, SAS, Qlikview, Tableau)
  • Excellence in programme management and client delivery
  • Substantial experience of working with or in the UK Financial Services industry
